Designed for a high-altitude alpine environment, the project combines engineering precision with dramatic contemporary design.
Giant Operable Steel Window with Radius Detailing
The centerpiece of the chalet is a giant operable steel skylight featuring ornamental radius steel framing. This custom steel window was engineered to deliver both structural strength and smooth operability while maintaining elegant, slim sightlines.
The curved steel detailing adds architectural character while framing sweeping mountain views, creating a focal point that connects the interior living space directly with the surrounding alpine landscape.
Angled Steel Window Walls and Fixed Glazing
In addition to the operable feature window, the project incorporates angled fixed steel windows and expansive steel window walls designed to follow the unique geometry of the building.
